jwatson4
In the preferences for VW there's a box to tick that logs the time spent in VW. Where can I find this log? What exactly does it log? Does it just log the time the program is open or does it log keystrokes or something along those lines? Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
Check your user folder. See this old thread (as far as I know, it has not changed since 2016). Quote Link to comment
jwatson4
Not there, and I double checked to make sure I have the option on. I have not opened a file today but I'd imagine it would be a running log and not disappear once I close out a drawing. Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
I have just tried on my Mac. It does work for me. The file named "Vectorworks Log" contains: 11.02.19, 18:56:31 Turned logging on. 11.02.19, 18:56:40 Closed "Untitled 1". 11.02.19, 18:56:41 Quit Vectorworks. Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
Thinking further, the picture you have shown does not look like the content of a typical VW user folder. Is it really the folder as defined in the VW preferences? Quote Link to comment
jwatson4
So I'm thinking I'm gonna have to ask out IT company "what the hell". These are all the images of all my libraries. Everything is in its place where its supposed to be. I'd have to agree my user library seems small. Am I just missing some small detail (i do that)? Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted February 11, 2019 Marionette Maven Share Posted February 11, 2019 I'm still not sure you're looking in the correct location. Try using the "Reveal in Finder" button in your preferences. Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
The "Library" folder that's within the "justin" folder is actually a hidden folder, so to see it you'd have to hit Cmd+Shift+period. Or as Marissa suggests, the easiest way is to just hit the Reveal in Finder button. 🙂 Quote Link to comment
