Object with multiple classes

StageCrafter

Question

I am running into a problem where I have some simple objects that have multiple classes associated with them.  ie. more than one class must be set to visible to see the object, yet the Object Info window only shows one of the classes that is associated with the object.   Is there a way to dissociate one of the classes?

This happens when a container object, like a group, a symbol, or some parametric objects contain objects that are in a different class than the container object.

A typical example is a symbol that contains 2 objects.

The symbol could be assigned to the class Venue-Seating.

The symbol contains two objects:

a rectangle in the Venue-Seating-Removable class and

a label in the Venue-Seating-Seat Number class.

So you could have a viewport that showed the seats w/o the clutter of the seating numbers.  Or grey out the seats but leave the numbers clearly visible.

The easiest way to get what you are asking for is to delete the the classes of the interior objects.  You will get an option to assign the objects assigned to the deleted class to another class.  Now the container and the interior objects will always have the same visibility.
