nakedeye
Hi can't seem to connect to a Hog 4 with Vision on my Mac. I can connect Wysiwyg (on bootcamp) on the same machine so I know all the connections are ok. From looking at the various information out there on vision I don't have a drop down under DMX providers for Hognet (or MA for that matter) just art net, sACN & Multi-Input. Should I have? Thanks Max 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee bbudzon Posted January 22, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 22, 2019 I'm sorry @nakedeye, MANet and HoggNet are only supported on PC at this moment. HoggNet we may be able to get working on MAC OS, but MANet is restricted to PC by GrandMA themselves. Quote Link to comment
nakedeye
OK, thanks and good to know. I'll put a version onto bootcamp. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Gould
Any news on possible HogNet on Mac? Currently running HogPC in Windows under VirtualBox, but would like run Vision on the mac side to take advantage of Graphics card. (this configuration works on Capture, just have to make sure Virtual Box is configured as a bridged adapter). Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 20, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 20, 2020 @Jonathan Gould It's up to HES/ETC. HES only created a dll library for windows. They would need to create a dylib for the Mac for Vision in order for the Mac application to use HogNet natively on the Mac. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Gould
I guess Capture uses CITP to do it on Mac? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 21, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 21, 2020 Probably. I know HES implemented some sort of connection over CITP but unfortunately Vision does not support CITP; it only supports the more modern NDI protocol. Quote Link to comment
