IFC MISSING

Hi,

 

I'm a beginner in BIM and i have to work with a BIM convention. i've got a long list of IFC i have to use but some of them are missing or "misspelling"

 

It says that i need to use "IFC STOREY BUILDING " and i've got " IFC BUILDING STOREY"

----------------------------------------"IFC RAIL" and i've got "IFC RAILLING"

and i don't have IFC CEILING.

 

How can i add them? or change them? it's a very precise convention and my IFC need to be exactly what the convention says.

Hi Clem,

 

You should use IfcBuildingStorey, IfcRailing and IfcCovering (with field PredefinedType set to CEILING).

So if I understand all the docs, you mean that the convention is wrong and there is no way such ifc exist ?

Hi Clem,

 

I don't know what kind a "convention" is this, but this is the standard that is used in all software packages. Sorry, there is no "IFC CEILING" ;)

(This site is the place where all IFC versions - 2x2, 2x3, IFC4, alpha, beta, draft, candidate release, addendum, TC - are published)
