worksheet function

Recommended Posts

Ok, here is the VW challenge of the day....because I am going nuts trying to sort this out.

In a nutshell, I need to calculate the surface areas for applying stone to different objects.

Think of a patio slab that would receive a tile or stone surface on the top of the slab. There is a worksheet function that will give results for the overall surface area for all faces of that slab extrusion, but I am only interested in the top portion of the slab, which will give a square foot quantity of only that face of the slab.

Any worksheet script masters out there know the magic formula?

I could achieve this by using the extract tool to peel off just that face, but that would be a LOT  of extra work in my case.
