0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee iborisov Posted December 12, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 12, 2018 Hello, Would you give us more details about the problem? If it is possible to upload a test file and a video. It will also be helpful if we know which version of Vectorworks 2019SP2 you use. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
0 dtheory
same issue here.. VW 24.0.2 (463397) MacOS 10.14.2 Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee iborisov Posted December 20, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 20, 2018 Hello, I still could not reproduce the problem. Whether it is a file specific bug or you can repeat it with a new file? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
0 dtheory
This bug has occurred for me with an existing file and I can reproduce it: New file (blank imperial) create an object.. for testing it was a simple 3d cube create a viewport on a new sheet edit annotations on the new VP add callout.. edit callout crash on attempting to exit the edited callout. Once I've restarted VW, attempting to edit annotations on the same VP also results in a crash. sig below is incorrect, I'm on latest Mojave, VW SP2 Edited December 20, 2018 by dtheory Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee KIvanov Posted December 20, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 20, 2018 Hi @Gunther and @Walid R., Could I ask you for help. Could you ask you teams to try to reproduce this crash, because we are not able. Thanks, Kostadin Ivanov Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Gunther Posted December 20, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 20, 2018 Those having the issue, could you try undocking the Object Info Palette and see if the issue goes away? Can you also confirm this is a crash or hang (spinning beach ball)? Quote Link to comment
0 dtheory
Hi Gunther, It is a hang, not crash.. I did leave my machine unattended for a couple of hours yesterday.. and it was still spinning when I returned.. Initial experience was that the machine hung while the obj info palette was docked. Undocked the OIP, no hang.. redocked the OIP, no hang. Restarted VW, OIP still docked.. no hang... Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Gunther Posted December 20, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 20, 2018 Thanks for confirming @dtheory! This seems to coincide with an issue we're tracking. It might be worth working for a bit, with the Object Info Palette undocked to see if it helps for now? Quote Link to comment

0 dtheory
Do you experience the same behavior with the object info palette undocked? I found that this, at least for now, has cleared up the hanging situation.. Quote Link to comment
0 The Cantor
Still happens with OIP undocked. In fact, I always have it undocked. Quote Link to comment
0 The Cantor
VW hung even on a new/clean empty Spotlight file. Restarted VW 2019 opened new Spotlight template created a rectangle created second rectangle, to use to create viewport on new sheet layer double-clicked on the auto-created annotation showing the scale of the viewport spinning hanging ball appears. Screenshot of top of the report sent to Apple is attached. HELP... Quote Link to comment
0 MSLD
I was having the same issues. I then tried changing workspaces, and used the callout tool in the Spotlight workspace. It worked fine. Somehow the callout tool when used in my custom workspace became corrupted. Ended up having to rebuild my workspace from scratch. Quote Link to comment
