Hello, I just reloaded my vectorworks on a new computer and cannot seem to render.  Everything renders in wiremesh as if walls or elements had no solid volume.  Have I changed my setup?  Cannot seem to find out where to fix this. please help!

Post a screenshot of rendering process and tell us how are you rendering (viewport? render style?) tell us something more..

If you're used to VW automatically rendering when you switch into 3d, my guess is it might be this preference -

Go to Tools>Options>Vectorworks Preferences and click on the 3D pane. Switch the Render Mode dropdown from Wireframe to OpenGL.

Just to avoid misunderstandings,

1.

your Plugin Objects like Walls and Windows can sit on a specific Class,

while you "can" set all its Sub Components to totally different Classes.

(Which you most likely may want)

So if the "Main" Wall class is on but your Component Classes are all off,

you can't see any Part of that Wall though.

Same applies for the Fill settings, if you Wall Class has a Fill, but all Components

use their own Classes, with Fill Off, - this will not help for Rendering.

2.

In the past RW Rendering Mode and 3D Export needed Fill for 3D Objects,

otherwise it was not seen as a real 3D Object and not rendered.

(I think there were some changes recently and RW Render is now able to

also Render 2D Geometry, but you normally want to show your Faces though,

and not just Wireframe Lines)

The Attribute Palette is this :

http://app-help.vectorworks.net/2019/eng/index.htm#t=VW2019_Guide%2FAttributes%2FThe_Attributes_Palette.htm&rhsearch=attribute&rhhlterm=attribute&rhsyns=

And don't forget to also play with all these "micro" Arrows and tiny drop downs that are

so easy to overlook - to check and control if Objects are assigned directly by Object Attributes

or overridden by using Class Attributes.

PIO Attribute's Setting are Controlled in the Plugin Object Settings.
