RobbieButler
Hello! I'm having trouble using the new spotlight numbering tool in VW 2019. I can't seem to get fixtures to take the channel info. I've attached a video of the problem. Any ideas? Rx VWX Problem.mov Edited October 29, 2018 by RobbieButler added video Quote Link to comment
markdd
Currently you have no instruments selected so you will need to manually select each instrument in turn when you click OK. Double-click on a blank area to end the command. If you select the instruments beforehand, then you will see the Numbering Direction section un-greyed and you will then be able to number your instruments using the criteria there. I hope that helps Mark Edited October 29, 2018 by markdd 1 Quote Link to comment

markdd
Can you post a short video of you doing this? Mark 1 Quote Link to comment

markdd
It doesn't look like it is behaving itself quite the way mine does. Add a label legend to it and see if the channels numbers are entering the same as mine are before you end the tool command. Are you double-clicking at the end? If you are not, then you should be. RobbieButler
There's already a label legend on it. Which works when manually inputting information. I'll try restarting it and see if that works... Rx Quote Link to comment
RobbieButler
Have restarted the program. Interestingly, it workings in a new file, but not in my working document... VWX Problem.mov Quote Link to comment
markdd
Unless you are very far down the line, I suggest you import all the work you have done so far into a clean file and work on from there. A layer import is best IMO. There may be other issues down the line... Did this drawing originate from a different version of Vectorworks? Quote Link to comment
RobbieButler
Nope, it started in 2019. I haven't changed anything, but closed the program and restarted it again before importing - that seems to have done the trick! No import required. Odd, I haven't changed anything since the last time I restarted. But problem seems to be solved! Thanks Mark! Rx Quote Link to comment
