swan
Is there any way to automatically track the time you spend on a project in Vectorworks 11. Quote Link to comment
Guest
You can track the amount of time you are in VectorWorks. If you are working on two files at the same time during a session, the log file will not distinguish time spent on each file. To turn this feature on, go into VW prefs and turn on LOG TIME IN PROGRAM. Quote Link to comment

J.Belisario
How can I visualize the Time Log? After I have set it up? Quote Link to comment
Guest
It's saved in your VW folder. Open the VW folder and then open Logfile.txt. Quote Link to comment

matto
The Log should be a textfile in the Vectorworks folder. As soon as you turn "log Time in Program" on in the vectorworks prefernces the file should be created. If you can't see the file check you have turned on the Logging. Quote Link to comment
J.Belisario
I had turned on the logttime on my vectorworks preferences. Still can't find the text file on my vectorworks folder. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
J.Belisario
I have just searched on my program files folder for a Logfile.txt and although I have set Logfile on my preferences, there isn't a Logfile.txt on my system. Quote Link to comment
matto
How about "Vectorworks Log"? as the file is called on the mac version. It's odd that you can't file, as the file will always generate new if you delete the file or move it to another folder. hint: once it know its' working - it's good thing to get in the habbit or get the computer to once a month move the log file to another folder and rename it for the month. Those log file can get very long. Quote Link to comment
