John Meunier
Bug Alert, This works with simple object for example draw a rectangle and make it a symbol, the same behaviour will persist. With a hybrid symbol, open "multiple views panes". Edit the 2D component of the symbol, the 2D objects disappear. Also happens when editing a symbol containing symbols, if a symbol is 2D only it will disappear when entering the root symbol with multiple views on. See Screen recording. Very frustrating behaviour!! Screen Symbol.mov Edited October 6, 2018 by John Meunier Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
Are your "2D" objects screen plane? The naming convention has not caught up with the progress yet. The 2D portion of a symbol is actually the Screen Plane portion of the symbol The 3D portion of a symbol contains everything else, including Layer Plane and Working Plane Objects. Or maybe I am talking through my hat. I know it used to be this way. I have not hat time to play with the new multi view hybrid objects in VW2019. Quote Link to comment

Bug Alert,

With a hybrid symbol, open "multiple views panes".
Edit the 2D component of the symbol, the 2D objects disappear.
Also happens when editing a symbol containing symbols, if a symbol is 2D only it will disappear when entering the root symbol with multiple views on.
See Screen recording.
Very frustrating behaviour!!
