The BlackSheep
The landscape firm that I work for frequently imports and exports Dwg files. One problem that I constantly run into is the exporting lineweights properly. When I view the exported file in ACAD the lineweight s appear really thick and when zoomed in the lineweights get thinner and thinner. Would my problem have something to do with world units? if so how do I resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Guest
It sounds like the lineweights slider in AutoCAD is turned way up. In AutoCAD, i think it's under the format menu, select Lightweight. A dialog box appears that allows you to slide the weight of how heavy or thin the lines appear in the drawing. Quote Link to comment
JHEarcht
In my experience, AutoCAD lineweights just don't zoom smoothly as they do in VW. As long as they print properly, I just ignore the grossly fat or absurdly thin lines on the screen. JE Quote Link to comment
jan15
Tools > Options > User Preferences tab > Lineweight Settings You can turn off lineweight display, or vary the amount of the bizarre reverse-zooming effect that you described, but you can't make Autocad display lineweights properly.
