rjtiedeman
How did they create the FUNDAMENTALS 2018 marketing image with 3D flying trash cans on a curved surface? Edited September 27, 2018 by rjtiedeman added second image Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Guessing: 1. NURBS Surface & garbage can 2. Array Surface -B Edited September 27, 2018 by Benson Shaw Steps 2 Quote Link to comment

What in it would you like to be able to do? I'll give it my best shot. I have the source file for this but didnt contribute to the commercial style ones myself. Quote Link to comment

Array Surface -B This would have been my first guess, however I have also seen them using something similar to this: Where they replace the 3d polys with a symbol perhaps? I'll try to get my hands on it, I meant to look into something similar earlier but was caught up with release work. Quote Link to comment

According to this : I honestly thought Surface Array was Fundamentals... hrmm, lemme check on this. I still see it as having been Design series only in 2018 and 2017 too. Lemme see if thats always been intentional. Quote Link to comment

rjtiedeman
Of corse the answer is SURFACE ARRAY. I have Vectorworks 2019 - FUNDAMENTALS. That tool was not included as advertised. That said. I work with package Design and product development as structural design director. If we make claims on a package design that are incorrect our clients have legal chaos. The marketing team must not have gotten the memo. What are ivy generators?
