Thanks for sharing. I wonder what other methods will arise. Did @Jim Wilsonnot have plans to show us his? 🙂 Quote Link to comment

I did... but then my guess was so soundly trounced by the next two contenders I decided to slink back into the shadows and try and make my Summit presentations a little fancier. 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Luis M Ruiz Posted September 30, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 30, 2019 I want in! Here is another approach. By combining nurbs and deform solids. 3 Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, i use revolve with rail for these type of shapes. Quote Link to comment
Peter Neufeld
Dear Alan, Yes but it makes a series of NURBS surfaces which isn't a solid. In spite of my movie taking 46 seconds from start to finish doping it for real and making a solid I can do using the SubDiv tool in 23 seconds! Cheers, Peter Quote Link to comment
AlanW
So all you do is convert to a mesh then to a generic solid. It was just a suggestion that may assist some users. Edited October 2, 2019 by Alan Woodwell 3 Quote Link to comment
