AdamR&L
Trying to use the multi cable function in cable tools as a L21-30 "breakout" to hoist veam cable. Like an 8way hoist controller. So that I can then assign multicable circuits to the hoists and create a database for veam cables on a spreadsheet. I've added the L21-30 custom to Multi cable and L21-30>8x Hoist Veam to Breakout and Hoist Veam to Jumper, but the following happens when I go to set up the multi cable to assign circuits. Any thoughts? Is it possible Sam Jones? Thank you in advance. Edited September 26, 2018 by AdamR&L autocorrected veam to team Quote Link to comment
Sam Jones
Breakout names require a space " " on each side of the ">", and no space on each side of the "x". Try naming the breakout "L21-30 > 8xHoist Veam". If that doesn't solve your problem, send me the file. Sam Samuel L. BMYDesign
Where do I add a new type to be able to have it in my drop-downs? Quote Link to comment
Sam Jones
You have to use the "Plug-in Manager" When the Plug-in Manager opens click on the left most tab, "Built-in Plug-ins". Then scroll down the list and select "Multicable VW" The click on the "Customize" button below the list. Once the "Customize" dialog opens, click on the "Parameters" tab on the top, and then scroll down the list and select the "Break Out Type" parameter. Once the Break Out Type parameter is selected click on the Edit button below the list. When the "Edit Parameter" dialog opens, click on the "Choices" button. When the "Edit Choices" dialog opens you will be presented with a list, and you can type in your break out choice any where in the list. That choice must be one line with nothing els on the line. You will need to do the same thing with the "CableType" parameter. Now for the scary part. Mistakes in this process can break the tool. Quote Link to comment
