I like that as of VW2019 you can now see the 3D side of the symbol while work on the 2D component. This is something I've wanted for a while since it allows you to make sure the two sides of the symbol are cohesive, plus you can snap to the 3D objects if you're drawing in the 2D side.
Conversely, I'd also like to be able to see the 2D plan view of the symbol while working on the 3D portion. It should go both ways 🙂
Currently that dropdown is greyed out in 3D edit mode.
