Try grabbing the group by one of the snap points. Notice it isn't possible and that the cursor doesn't change to either the cross cursor at snap points or the white move arrow when over the objects.
I've only noticed it recently so I suspect in changed in the most recent SP of VW2018. It works as expected in VW2017. If I ungroup things in VW2018 and VW2019 the individual screen plane objects select and snap as expected. I suspect this is a bug.

@Jim Wilson there used to be a page with images of all the VW cursor types in the old manuals but I couldn't find it in the online help system. Does it still exist? I wanted to include images of the cursor types I describe.
