Sheet Layer re-naming Text into in Capital Letters

Grethe Connerth

Question

It would be very useful when changing the Title ( of the same wording ) of a Sheet Layer into 'CAPITAL LETTERS', Vectorworks would accept it.

1. Typing text to change from 'Floorplan & Elevations' to capital letters 'FLOORPLAN & ELEVATIONS'

2. When closing the edit window Vectorworks reverts the text back to 'Floorplan & Elevations'.

It works in Design Layers though.

As far as I remember the workaround was to temporary rename it differently

and rename it in its initial name in capital letters after.

I think the problem is that OS or VW treat such input fields not case sensitive

and VW thinks it is the same word and does not really update the field.

It should if there is a real change that is recognizable for VW it will.

Hi Zoomer,

well, that's exactly the workaround I have to do, and it's a double up on work, apart from being frustrating.

It does work in Design Layers, it only does not work in Sheet Layers ...

Therefore, shouldn't it be an easy fix? 🙄
