It would be super helpful to have leader lines that take the opposite color of what's under them. This lets you annotate objects that have the same color as your annotations. See below images. In its simplest form, it would result in the leader being initially white, followed by a simple difference: leaderColor = abs(leader - bg). I imagine this implemented as a tick box somewhere. Custom default and invert colors would be a nice extension of this feature.
