Where's my 'X' key tool toggle?

I am on Mac OSX and just jumped from VW8.5 to VWA11. I used to be able to hit the 'X' key to not only select the ARROW tool but if I hit it again, the previously selected tool would be re-selected. You could also toggle between any two tools by pressing a particular tool's key and then pressing it again. WHERE DID THIS AWSOME FEATURE GO?????

this has been replaced by the boomerang mode. With a tool selected, holdyour thumb on the space bar. Use a finger to hit the X key. Select the object you want (still holdong down the space bar...)

now let go of the space bar.

You jump back to your last tool.

I know, but I don't like the way the boomerang works. I like they way it used to work. Why can't we have it both ways? Or go back to the better, easier way? Less keys and fingers needed.
