Speed Up Rotate Plan Tool

Is there a way to speed up the rotation of the Rotate Plan Tool? @Jim Wilsonposted a script to change the speed of the 3D view animations a while back and I wondered if there was a script available that could do the same for Plan Rotation.

 

I am working on a file with this tool a lot at the moment and it would be great if the rotation could be near instantaneous.

Under VW Preferences < Interactive, try unchecking "View Transition Animation" - this should make plan rotation happen faster. Granted, it also takes away the transition animations between 3D views (which I prefer off anyways).

I quite like the View Transition times, so I wonder if there is a script that will just do the Plan Rotation.
