Jim2489
I did a search on importing textures and didn't find an answer. I am trying import a JPEG texture into my resource browser ??? Second I created a polygon object, extruded to 4" and have been trying to apply a texture to the face and can't. It only applies to the extruded edges appreciate any help on theses problems appreciated Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Either it is not a closed polygon or you have the fill set to None. If it is not closed you are effectively just extruding a line so there is no surface. If the fill is set to None it is a similar effect. Give it a solid fill and see what happens. Jim2489
Pat, I will check. I am pretty sure it is closed, as i was able to extrude the poly, but not sure about fill, and probably is the problem. Thanks Jim Pat, and help on this one? EAlexander
Not totally clear on the language, since I'm not in front of VW, but try making a new RW texture in the Resource browser. In the Color channel drop down for this texture, there is an option for selecting an image and then it will ask you to navigate to your jpeg. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@Jim2489open resource browser and bottom create new texture, top one use image and browse to your image, scale it correctly by dragging the highlighted dot on image across and type in actual size. Trust this has answered question. Alan Edited July 31, 2018 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
jbtroost
Sorry for double posting the fill question…: Does the poly have a fill when you render it? Edited August 1, 2018 by Jan-Burger TROOST Quote Link to comment
AlanW
As I understand yes needs a fill and tick use at creation. Quote Link to comment
Jim2489
How do I find where the fill function is for an object ?? Quote Link to comment
jbtroost
It’s in the Attributes Palette (ctrl+shift+a in Windows or cmd+shift+a on a Mac). Next to the bucket is for the fill, next to the pen is for adjusting line weight & color. Fill should not be on None! Quote Link to comment
