Texture are Aline to top of wall Not to face?

Samuel H

Question

Hi all,

I have been working on a 3d model and have been applying textures to walls with odd results.

I have found that when I use the wall tool and apply a texture the texture is not applying to the face of the wall But, the texture is showing on the top edge of the wall,

I have attached a screenshot below as you can see the wall is black but the grey colored texture is only showing on the top edge of the wall.

Any thoughts?

Hi Jim

Thanks for the link above I will watch this today.

I have been using files set up by another user in our office and after I decided to start again from scratch on a new file of my own it seems that the issues have resolved, I think that the files circulating the office may be buggy as they have been created from old start files which was probably originally created over 10 years ago,

In another question I have, I am new to 3d modeling as mostly we work in 2d top plan and I am finding with working on more and more 3d models my computer system cant process the rendering and some of the procedures needed to create these drawings.

I'm looking to upgrade and as a mac user, I am after an indication of system requirements to process 3d work with ease.

I watched Tony Kostreski workflow in the below video and see that his mac can handle these files with ease and would like to upgrade to match his specifications if you have any information that may help me?

Best Regards
