Leonard Marsh
(Formerly posted at "Tech Note and How To Suggestions") Is it possible to have multiple lines of text with one Record Format/Link Text to Record entry or will it require multiple entries? For example: the sheet title requires three lines of text in the Title Block. I tried creating a Text Block in the symbol but the entered text (via the OIP/Data tab) ignored text wrap and continued in one unbroken line. Obviously, carriage return doesn't work in this situation. TIA Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
I have never been able to what you want. On the other hand for the sheet title i was happy to put up with 3 separate lines of record format to fill in 3 lines of titl block. I notice that the issue manager manages to do what you ask, hoave text wrapping in the recorc fomat, so it must be possible, but I suspect that some trick script writing was involved... You may be ableto cut and paste a carriage return into the OIP. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
i have found also that each line of info has to have its own line of record format, just as archoncad notes in his first paragraph. Quote Link to comment
Leonard Marsh
Thanks Jonathan and Jim. I will add the extra lines to my symbol and record format. Jonathan, how does one cut and paste a carraiage return? TA, L. Quote Link to comment
