Cut Plane Design Layers

Geraint

Question

Hi - I am hoping to utilise what I believe the design layer cut plane setting is for(?) but not having much luck. When the design layer cut plane is set to 100mm (or any dimension for that matter) it does not appear to change the 'cut plane' of the design layer in Top/Plan view. Am I missing a trick? Many thanks

I think you should be able to see it when you use multi component walls

(And not have simplified view enabled)

The Walls reaching above cut plane should show there full sectioned component complexity

while wall tops below cut plane should show a simple top view.

Not much further magic happening for PIOs like Windows though.

This really should be fixed I don't how many hours we spend blobbing paint buckets full of fill to cover door openings for Reflected Ceiling Plans in the Annotation Layer. Even when we don't complete the RCP until near the end, there are ALWAYS changes & if we miss something on the Annotation Layer we look foolish if we miss it as a random polygon or 3. Even if we could just choose between 2 or 3 standard heights say 1220 (4') & 2285 (7'-6") to start with,  that would save HOURS.
