fbx export failure

Question

I have a large file ~400Mb... trying to export and the 'geometry' bar bottom right fills up w/green, then the operation is over with no notification and I don't see a file in the directory I've selected. Before anyone says "maybe try splitting it up", yes, that's what I'm going to do, since I need to get this done, but shouldn't this just work???

Thanks

When I see something like that it means there wasn't anything to export.

What export settings were you using?

What happens if you try to export the active layer only or just selected objects on the active layer? Does it then export a FBX file or still nothing?

I had never ending or empty FBX exports in the past.

I think it was related to a corrupt PIO or something.

VW Exports can be very slow and it is often worth to try and start

before lunch time.

And, opposed to C4D, FBX unfortunately doesn't export Symbol Copies

as Instances but separates them as single objects.

(FBX would support instances)
