timmer
How do I edit the contents of the object info palette. In Spotlight we have lost the "replace with active fixture" from the OIP. I would like tome some stuff around also. Quote Link to comment
Sam Jones
Two issues here. First, replacing fixtures is accomplished with he "Replace..." command which gives you access to both fixture types in the document and the libraries. Not quite, as simple as the Replace with Active fixture button but way more versatile and useful in editing many portions of the document. Editing the contents of the OIP for Lighting Device objects is accomplished with the Spotlight Preferences dialog. The Lighting Device is a very special object in Vectorworks. Some editing of the OIP can be done with other Plug-in objects and is achieved using the Plug-in Manager. But the editing here is very limited to default values and drop down entries. Other editing can be done, but is very dangerous and should be avoided. HTH, Sam Quote Link to comment
timmer
Thanks Sam appreciate the help. I just got used to using the replace with active fixture in the OIP from previous versions. Don't know why they took it out. My OIP looks so much cleaner now getting rid of the stuff I never needed and arranging the tools I use most near the top. Appreciate the Auto Plot tools as well. Guest Beckstorm
You can also use "Replace Lighting Device..." on the OIP Quote Link to comment
