etweed
I have imported data from an arial survey. The contours came in in many many pieces. I have composed the many small polygons into larger polygons. Before I convert them to 3d, I would like to reduce the amounts of vertices present in each polygon. When I double click on a polygon, it is jam-packed with vertices and I know this is contributing to the large file size. Many of these seem repetetive and unnecessary, but would take months to erase by hand. Is there a tool or command that can filter out the seemingly useless vertices and still leave the general shape of the polygon? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted April 25, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 25, 2003 Go ahead and convert them to 3D polygons, then use the "Filter 3D Polys" command to reduce the number of vertices. Quote Link to comment
