ErichR
Since installing VWA 11 on the Mac, QT Player won't start. Also, VW documentation says it is bundled on the VW CD. It isn't. Found this out when I tried reinstalling QT and couldn't find it on the VW CD. Downloaded QT from Apple, and it still doesn't work. Is there a known conflict? Quote Link to comment
Guest
VW doesn't affect QuickTime, so it's odd that VW would do anything to cause QT to stop working. What happens when you try to start QT? Quote Link to comment
Guest
ARe you using OS 9 or 10 ? Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Error message pops up saying the app has unexpectedly quit and do I want to send an error report to Apple. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Have you run Disk Utility? Quote Link to comment
ErichR
Yes. Interestingly, the OS9 mode and its QT player work fine. Guess this isn't a VW problem, since the QT player won't open (even without a clip to play). I did reinstall the latest version on OSX, but there doesn't seem to be an unstall option to delete all remnants of the app. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Go to APPLE"S site and re-cownload the latest player??? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Oops, that was supposed to read "re-Download". Duh... Quote Link to comment
LordSobe
Cipes, he said he already attempted that and that it didn't solve the problem Quote Link to comment
Kees W
There are utilities like "Cocktail" or "Onyx" that can run maintenance scripts, repair permission and delete system caches. Running those tasks has cured most of the (few) problems I've encountered with OS X. you can find the utilities on www.macupdate.com. Quote Link to comment
