tralilu
Why do I get this when changing Dimension Std.? Whats wrong? Object creation failed due to invalid parameter(s). Please use different parameter(s). Quote Link to comment
Art V
What exactly are you trying to do? Without that info we can only make a wild guess of what the issue might be and we might come up with an answer that may not be relevant to what you are trying to do. Quote Link to comment
tralilu
Im trying to change the "Dimension Std." from Arch to another one, but doesnt matter which one I try to change to. Always gives me this warning and changes nothing in the design, despite in the info box it shows the one I changed to. Quote Link to comment
Art V
That sounds it might be a bug, are you on Mac or Windows and which OS version and which version of Vectorworks are you using? In VW2018 on Windows I'm not running into this warning. Are you trying to change the dimension setting in the preferences, the toolbar of the dimension tool or for an existing dimension through the object info palette? Maybe a reset of your preferences might solve the issue. Quote Link to comment
tralilu
MAC 10.12 VW18 SP2 I change (info palette) from an existing dimension to another existing dimension and this warning appears and does not change settings. Quote Link to comment
Art V
Can you share a sample drawing, e.g. a drawing with a square or rectangle having a dimension that shows the error message when you try to change the dimension style? Then some of us can have a look and see if it happens on our end as well (or not). Changing a dimension style should normally not cause an error message (unless I am mistaken) Quote Link to comment
