TKA
For some reason I cannot reference external file via viewport on a design layer. "source" is greyed out. Any ideas. Quote Link to comment
0 RickR
Are you sure you have a design layer selected as the target? You can't reference a file to a sheet, only to a design layer. Work dialog boxes from the top down. Quote Link to comment
0 TKA
yes I have the design layer selected as target, I can do it in a new file but not in the one I need to do. I have a file referenced in the old way via "organization" but deleting it did not make a difference. This might be a Tech Support item. Quote Link to comment
0 RickR
It shouldn't matter how you get there. I'm having a corrupt file issue myself - give them a call! Quote Link to comment
0 Hans-Olav
Hi @TKA I think you have to go to the organisation dialog and choose "Design layer Viewports" You are only aloud to have one sort of referencing, either Design layer VP or Layer import in each document 2 Quote Link to comment
