ArnoXz
Hello, I just jumped in vectorworks and would like scripting. I found marionette would be a good tool for beginners. The problem ; I can't find "Marionette" from my palette (not present in any palette, but seems to be part of the integrated plugins of VW) ? Where / how can I activate / install Marionette ? My release is VW 2017 SP5 on MAC (BUILD 402127) Thanks ! Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 7, 2018 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 7, 2018 Which package do you have (i.e. fundamentals/architect/spotlight/etc.?) Marionette is not part of the fundamentals package, if memory serves me right, so if you're using fundamentals, you would need to upgrade to one of the designer packages for access to Marionette. If you have a package in the design series, the Marionette tool should be in your Basic palette by default. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted March 7, 2018 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 7, 2018 You can certainly use Python as a scripting language with the Vectorworks scripting API. See here . Quote Link to comment
ArnoXz
Great, thanks for your reply... But I'm so new in python as well... I posted a question in this topic : It can probably be scripted with python,...... probably a basic script, but I have no idea how to start (define,.... command should be something like getVar....something X/Y)... I'm willing to learn... Quote Link to comment
