Combine Slabs?

Can this be done? Just wondering if I could draw two slabs and combine them, or draw 2D (basic) polygons and convert them to slabs?

Draw a 2D poly on top of your slab and choose Add Surface from the menu and you will get a bigger slab.  Clip Surface and Intersect Surface work as well.

Hello! When combining slabs, does the slab drainage system auto-update or is it not possible to combine slabs with drainage systems?

What would be nice, is being able to select 2 slabs and then choose Add Surface to combine them exactly like you would do it for two 2D poly... This is on my wishlist 🙂

I agree. You can use the Add Surface command to combine two Hardscapes into a single object so would be good to be able to do the same with Slabs.

In practice this is bad practice due to the way the tool works. 

(and frankly should be fixed)

Drawing a shape and adding this way adds that shape as a modifier to the slab it doesn't change the boundary of the slab. 

You can use the reshape tool to then also change the same boundaries of the slab. 

 

Annoying I know a little more fidlely sure but to me always use reshape for edges, save add or subtract modifiers for internally reshaping the slab.
