Automating title block text

Is there any way to automate the red text in our title block so that:

• if the revision is P1, P1a, P1b, etc. the red text automatically says NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION—STAGE P1;
• if the revision is P2, P2a, P2b, etc. the red text automatically changes to NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION—STAGE P2;
• if the revision is P3, P3a, P3b, etc. the red text automatically changes to NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION—STAGE P3;
• if the revision is C1, C1a, C1b, etc. the red text automatically changes to FOR CONSTRUCTION—STAGE C1;

Hello Christiaan,

 

You cannot automate the Stamp Text itself. However, maybe the following will do the job for you:

1. Create text object in the Title Block Graphics and link it to a custom formula

2. In the formula add Stamp Text, Current Revision Number and the other filling text you need

3. Format the text the way you like(size, colour, font, etc.)

 

This should work for you, unless you want to display the first revision number, not the last.

Hello, could I ask how did you get the revisions to be P1, C1 etc? its automating to A, B, C for me.... is there an automate tick box I am missing?
