MrPie Posted February 1, 2018 Share Posted February 1, 2018 Hello! I am trying to calculate the area of a slab with a modifier that is creating a hole through the first component of the slab. No matter which area function I try I cant get an accurate area returned that subtracts the modifier area, even if the modifier cuts completely through all of the slab and components. I have set up a database, with one column set to be for the area of each, in my case, patio square feet (of the pavers) while I maintain the components of the base layers (of a patio, ie. sand pack, gravel, geotextile, ect.). Any thoughts as to why the =area / =componentarea() / =compareabyclass() / =compareabyname() wont subtract a modifier? Or a way to more accurately have the area calculated? Thanks!
