reGenerate Design
Hello there, I am hoping that someone might be able to help me with a Vectorworks 2015 3D rendering issue that I'm experiencing. When I try to view plant objects in 3D, I only see a grey box in the openGL 3D preview pane. I've attached a file that has a single plant object in it. I would expect that I should see the 3D graphic or image prop for this plant object instead of a grey box. I have set the render mode to be openGL in VW preferences already. Thanks so much for any help on this. Adrian VW 2015 3D plant object issue.vwx Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Looks fine here. Do you have deactivated "use Textures" in OpenGL options ? (If I do this it will look as you describe) Quote Link to comment
reGenerate Design
Hi Zoomer thanks so much for getting back to me. Textures are already enabled in the OpenGL options (the 'use textures' box is greyed out but with it enabled. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Ahm, do you have Renderworks ? I think this is needed for showing transparencies. It came free and included after VW 2016 or 2017. Or not properly installed (or hidden or not working because of a current bug ?) I think unavailable RW package makes use Texture setting grayed out, which it is not for me. Or in the worst case a too weak GPU, or VW not assigned to the faster card on notebooks by default (to save energy) Quote Link to comment
