zero Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Hi all If you use the unconstrained dimension tool in chain mode, select the first two points, and draw the dimension, unless the next point selected is in line with the first two, the length setting in the OIP displays a differnt figure than the dimension. I did the following in VW 11: Drew 3 identical horizontally abutting rectangles with the last one vertically offset an arbitrary distance. I then rotated the group 10? and, using the unconstrained chain dimension tool, ran a dimension string so the last one was to a point not in line with the previous two. The dimensions read corrctly.
