VW 2017 SP5 Crashes on DWG Import

Hi there,

 

I just updated to SP5 the other day, and now anytime I select any of the DWG/DXF import options, everything crashes immediately.  Any suggestions on how to get around this, aside from making the jump to 2018?

Normally this can be fixed by doing one of two things:

1) Removing the Import DWG option from your workspace via Tools > Workspaces > Edit the Current Workspace under the Menus command, saving the workspace, then editing it again and re-adding Import DWG from the All Menus list on the left to the desired place in your workspace on the right.

And/Or:

Thanks, although unfortunately it looks like I'm still having the problem after doing both of those things.  It's also crashing when I attempt to do anything with focus points, and when adjusting certain things within 3D symbols.

In a new blank file with just a few test rectangles, does the same crash happen if you go to export to DWG? If not, send your original file to tech@vectorworks.net and they can take a closer look.

Looks like everything's working now in the original file and others...maybe shutting down the computer fully did the trick.  Thanks!
