Crashes seem to be caused by backups

When my VW crashes I go to my last backup and often find that the backup was created the same time as the crash. Is the backup causing the crash?

 

Fortunately this doesn't happen so often as to be a major problem. Interested to know if anyone else experiencing this. At the moment I have set backups for every 5 minutes.

Interesting 

We have experienced a lot of crashing lately. Mainly while editing spaces inside symbols. Haven’t seen any pattern yet what causes the crash

I would generally recommend setting your backup preference to number of operations rather than an amount of time for this very reason. If the backup timer is triggered mid-operation it can sometimes cause issues.

The main problem with this method is that nudging steps are counted as operations, so nudging objects may result to several backups in a short time depending on the backup settig.

I can only see this being a problem if you have "Confirm before save" turned on.
