JimDenaultASC
I have just started working with VW2018. When working with Spotlight>Visualization>Create Plot and Model View in 2017 and earlier, I was used to being able to double click the "original" viewport from which the Model and Definition layers were created, to bring me to an Edit box for the Definition layer. I made a little example movie from a fresh 2018 file to make sure there was no weirdness being brought from pervious versions. In 2017 and before I could also move the "original" viewport (Design Layer 1 in the example) off to the side to make the plot more legible, without affecting the Definition Layer and Model Layer arrangement. I can't do that in 2018, either. Is there some setting or preference I might have missed or is this something that's not working the same? Create_Plot_and_Model.mov Quote Link to comment
markdd
You're right. Its weird behaviour. However, if you select the viewport from the navigation palette and tick "project screen objects", you should find that all is well. I have no idea why this has changed in 2018. it may be an oversight or there may be a reason behind it, but that's the work-around I've been using recently. Quote Link to comment
