Liz YO
Hi there, I can't seem to apply an image texture to a 3d render in fundamentals - is this even possible? Many Thanks Liz Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Yes, Fundamentals can create & display image textures as long as Renderworks is included with Vectorworks. Just to be sure: Image texture is not same as image fill (attributes palette). Image fill only affects 2d objects. 3d object needs color fill (attributes palette) to accept a texture. Image texture requires two resources in the Resource Manager (v2017 and newer) or Resource Browser (v2016 and prior): an Image resource, and a Renderworks Image Texture created from that image. Note: the Texture creation & edit dialogs also offer the option to select a new image to use as a texture instead of using an existing image resource. This option creates a texture from the image selected, but does not automatically save the image as an image resource. In the texture definition, set the Color shader to Image, and choose the image resource in the Use an Image from Another Resource menu, or import a new image. Post back if more help needed. -B Edited November 1, 2017 by Benson Shaw use your words Quote Link to comment
