Buzcheva
Afternoon I am a VW newbie and want to know if there is a way to rotate an object/group etc. to match that of another object. please see attached picture If I want to rotate line A to match that of line B or vice versa what is the quickest way to do this. Many thanks Matt Quote Link to comment
Rossford
There is a rotate tool in the basic tool set. Click it and you will see a purple protractor, pick the end you want to stay constant, rotate to where you want, and drag it around. If you click on the OIP of line A to copy the degrees of the angle, then click on b and paste it in, you will get an exact angle. To get a line angle, you need the circular icon in the OIP checked, not the square one. OT, but I guess I have never known what those are called? And yes, it works on groups and other shapes, too. J. Wallace
One of the simplest ways to do this @Buzchevais to just duplicate the line you wish to copy. If you click the and hold down the option key you'll duplicate the object. You can also rotate any object using the rotate tool. Quote Link to comment

Popular Post Andy Broomell
To match the angle of an existing object, one easy approach is to have the "Smart Edge" snap turned on, which allows you to just hover over an existing edge to match the angle: Edited October 31, 2017 by Andy Broomell 5 Quote Link to comment
