Render initation confirmation option

Can we have an option in the preferences that a confirmation is required before actually starting a render instead of e.g. a short cut immediately starting a render when it is typed unintentionally?

 You could delete the shortcuts from the workspace.

 

Sure takes longer when you want to render but could be the same time as confirmation.

Saves the time delay of accidental render start, even with confirmation and frees up very useful shortcuts for more meaningful things.

Yes, removing the shortcut is an option however it will only work for your own workspace. Your colleagues may or may not remove the shortcut and if they reassign the shortcut to something else it may be for different things. In the long run this might cause more delay than a confirmation option where the default shortcuts can be left intact across multiple workspaces.

 

Only if the removal and reassignment would be applied office wide the same way it would work well when changing default shortcuts. I'm not really a fan of changing a program's default shortcuts, as people do expect these to work the same everywhere for the same program.
