nikihoops
Hi I could be being a bit blind/stupid, but when looking through the awesome looking BIM Objects it seems most files aren't compatible with Vectorworks? I've seen so many impressive visuals created with Vectorworks 3D and wondering where those objects must come from? Any help greatly appreciated. Apologies if this has been brought up before - I did search but didn't find anything. Niki (attached screenshot of BIM Object finder for clarity) Quote Link to comment
Markvl
One thing to be mindful of Niki is that you can download other formats and insert them into VW by using the import function. VW will now import Revit files and will do sketchup files too. Take a look at the import options so you can match them with options from sites like Bimobject. 1 Quote Link to comment
MRD Mark Ridgewell
Hi Niki, Manufacturers seem to have jumped on Revit (thinking that it alone is 'BIM'). I make a point of asking Manufacturers for native VW content now; why should specifiers (customers) have to spend time creating 3d product assets to sell their product for them?! Some Manufacturers are moving forward with it, eg. Ideal standard now provide native VW assets. I posted about new Mosa tiles tool elsewhere which may interest you. Is there anything particular you're looking for?
