Hidden Line window numbers showing through from other side 😡

Christiaan

Question

I've had this nasty problem crop up just before I need to issue a set of elevations. And they're so urgent that I'm going to be forced to issue these drawings looking like this.

Has anyone who's experienced this found a workaround around? Using a finite Depth Range doesn't work.

Have you tried using Data Tags instead of the integrated Window ID Tag?

Oh yes, thanks for the reminder Matt. I've tried it this morning on one of our elevations and it's excellent in principle. Really liking it. Couple of things:

  1. It's resource intensive. Getting a lot of spinning beach balls.
  2. It seems there's no way to dynamically stretch a surrounding box to suit text length. This would be nice.
  3. I'm having trouble moving tags. Should I be able to adjust their positions?

Can you submit a bug and attach a file showing the problem?

Right.  there's no way to do this.  This is something I'd like to see as well.

Yes.  You should be able to freely move them.  I've never seen this issue.

I'd hate to ask, but another bug with a file would be great!  🙂

I've subsequently noticed you need to have the leader line checked to be able to move them.

Thanks for the file Christiaan!

Hopefully this will help us to better optimize how the Data Tag finds and highlights possible candidate objects in large models.
