PonyB
I have built an oval frame for a painting but the image I want to place into it is rectangular. Is there a way to crop an image prop? Thanks! PonyB Quote Link to comment
markdd
The only way, to my knowledge is to apply the image crop to an oval shaped Nurbs Surface or extrude applied directly over the surface you are adding to. This will add a tiny amount of extra geometry which you may not want. Ultimately it would be better to make a cropped image in photoshop or some other app and make a new texture and apply that as a decal or yes, an image prop. There is an image mask option that you could apply, but again, that would require some editing in photoshop. Quote Link to comment
PonyB
Cool. Thanks Markdd. I'll take it to photoshop. I was just hoping I had not found a VW tool that already existed. Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
I would just draw an oval, extrude it, then apply the texture to the Oval. No need to use an Image Prop if it doesn't do what you need it to do. (Unless you were wanting the object to auto-rotate to the camera which is the only thing Image Props can do that can't be replicated another way.) Quote Link to comment
