colin smart
VW 10.5.1 on PC 2.4GHz machine, 512 Ram windows XP professional, with all available updates. We have one machine on the network, which constantly prints out text with a black background. We have replaced the computer and it is now the fastest most powerful one in the office, re installed VW, and all other software, updated printer driver, replaced network cable but nothing will stop the black text background. Has anyone any ideas what is causing this, and why on only one machine, ven after replacing with new? PC support company is stumped. Colin Smart Quote Link to comment

DeanF
We had the same problem in our office, got round it by shuting down VW restarting and printing straight away, it seemed to be the lenght of time VW was on. Haven't seen the problem since going to v11. Quote Link to comment
colin smart
Katie Any joy on this one? We have made sure that the computer is doing absolutely nothing whilst the drawing is spoolong and printing, but still get black text background on this one machine. Look forward to hearing from you. regards Colin Smart Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Colin, had the same problem with an HP 800 (non-PS). Updated the driver to v 5.35, and the problem disappeared. Things may be different with a postcript printer. VW 10.5.1 Win XP [ 05-27-2004, 01:03 AM: Message edited by: P Retondo ] Quote Link to comment

Guest
Colin, Download the VW 11 viewer and try to print your drawings from the 11 viewer to see if the problem persists. Quote Link to comment
colin smart
Katie We have tried to print on the VW 10 viewer and the text prints OK. We have also uninstalled VW 10 and reinstalled, but problem is still there. Colin Quote Link to comment
