John Vancouver
Is anybody else having crashing issues? I have a brand-new MacBook Pro and VW 2018. Since I started working with this set up I've had 10 to 15 crashes. Playing around with railings tonight I've had two crashes. Is this just me? jt Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I had lost of crashes with Design Layer Viewports from referenced files while creating and editing these in SP0. Currently standard BIM Modeling and had no crash for days. (Just some Style updating very slowwwwwww...) But had no railing tool so far. Edited October 12, 2017 by zoomer Quote Link to comment
KarynT
I've had problems when tracing over large PDFs. I ran the SP1 & it's been ok so far. I'm also running on a MacBook Pro, though not a new one. Quote Link to comment
Dubman
Yes our office has had crashing too, most computers have SP1 installed & some do not. I have had a few lockups, when having 3 large files open & using floating Pane, it will not show the Navigation Pallet correctly. That is when I close VW & reboot the PC, afterwards, it works fine. jnr
All the time. This is a persistent pattern year in year out that one suspects stems from the aggressive release cycle that was handed down from the mother ship. The program used to be on an 18 month release cycle. I think it was more stable then, but my memory is going. Usually it takes SP2 to get it where you are not losing thousands of dollars in unbillable time. I should know better to not adopt a new release until then. Seems like it would be better to release when its stable, than suffer one's reputation. Does not bode well for future sales or market share. 2 Quote Link to comment
Gigi Mc
Did this ever get resolved? I'm having the same issue on 2018 (just purchased in Feb) on Windows 10, NVIDIA 960 graphics card. The 2016 version was working fine. Quote Link to comment
John Vancouver
I have not had a crash in a bit but my projects are small at the moment. Just about launch into a big project. I'll let you know. Quote Link to comment
