Create Dimension style - No offset of value on line

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to create a Dimension style where the data for the line sits right on the line instead of using the default offset of 6? My office uses the 0 offset & it takes time to adjust them. Yes, I can select similar and run the adjustment, but I'm just wondering if it can be done at creation.

Thank you!

You can do this by creating a style with the text positioned as you want in Document Preferences>Dimensions and press the custom button in the dimension standard box and after creating then set it as the standard style in the Document Preferences>Dimensions tab under Dimension Standard through the drop down menu.

All new dimensions should then use this as the default style.
