Steven Kenzer
Can you please post a link to the thread you mention here? I'm having the same issue now. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
SteveVG
Hi Steven Im not at my desk currently but will post as soon as I am. Meanwhile I literally typed in the error message into google and the thread came up. It was to do with permissions at the vectorworks 2017 level. Hope this helps for now. Steve Quote Link to comment
SteveVG
Hi Steven So this was the post With some guidance from Tech Support, I changed the privilege at the VW2017 application level and applied to all files/folders within. I restarted my computer and VW. I received a notice "New online resource library catalogs are available for download. Would you like to update your library catalog now?" I chose Cancel. Now the resource library works fine. I selected the VW2017 folder in Applications>File>getinfo I clicked the lock to unlock, clicked the cog and and selected 'apply to enclosed items' making sure everything was set to Read & Write and restarted my computer. I however did click to update catalogue on restarting VW and now everything seems to be working fine. Supposedly it was an issue since updating to SP4? Hope this helps but if anything is not clear feel free to get back. All the best Steve Quote Link to comment
Steven Kenzer
Thanks for the help, Steve. Unfortunately, after doing this I still get the same "write access" message. Not sure what my next step is. Jim, do you have any suggestions? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
David Empey
I had this same problem and following the steps was also unsuccessful. I discovered that I had to go in and also grant permission in each Library sub folder. While this was annoying, it did solve my problem. Quote Link to comment
