Group option

I am using VW 2017. When I select a grouped objects they are blocked in amber color. When I enter the edit window they look okay. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

I have only seen this once before and it was an issue with a lower spec graphics card. Try going to the Display section of VW preferences and selecting a lower setting like "Best compatibility".

The Graphics card I saw this issue with was a very old card so that is probably the right thing to do. Maybe others here will have other ideas?

Just a thought - Have you changed any of the default colour settings that VW uses?

 

If you look at Tools>Options>Vectorworks preferences and then choose the appearance settings...

 

 

It offers colour choices for a wide range of actions/items..

 

 

You (or perhaps some other user) has changed the default opacity?

Edit: Never having changed these options myself (why would you?), I've just tried this and not been able to recreate what you have. Sorry, this looked a solution.

However, download the latest graphics driver (your current driver is around 5 years old) from this location and then reboot your machine, it MIGHT get it working:

If the solid orange is making it impossible to work, you can turn off selection highlighting completely under VW Preferences<Interactive. Of course then it's hard to tell what you have selected...
